The Toro Company National Credit Manager and Customer Finance Solutions in Adelaide, Australia

We are seeking a committed National Credit Manager to oversee our Accounts Receivable function, aiming to minimize credit risk and ensure adherence to our Credit Policy. In this role, you will collaborate closely with the Financial Controller, Managing Director, Business Unit Managers, and Toro staff. Furthermore, you will cultivate and maintain business relationships with partners to deliver cost-effective financing solutions to our customers.

What will you do?

  • Assessing account applications for credit worthiness, and if approved apply a credit limit relevant to the amount the business deems necessary for a worthwhile relationship with the customer.

  • Liaison with external service providers such as company's preferred legal firm and collection agents.

  • Timely and professional response to credit issues as they are presented by Toro US management.

  • Liaising with Toro Australia Business Unit Managers to identify customer finance needs and opportunities.

  • identifying, activating and maintaining the business and operational relationship with business partners

  • Specific responsibility for the maintenance for the Toro Australia business relationship with finance providers.

  • Liaising with other members of the Toro Australia Finance team to ensure that the accounting and control systems for customer financing are appropriate for need fulfilment.

  • Development and implementation of Accounts Receivable policies and procedures.

  • Ensure all activities of the Accounts Receivable team complies with relevant Acts, legal demands and ethical standards.

  • Monitoring and evaluating the performance and efficiencies of staff and procedures.

  • Providing training and coaching to staff to ensure they have the necessary skills to be able to meet the requirements of their position.

What do you need?

  • Extensive senior credit management experience in a mid-sized business with annual revenues of $200-$250 million.

  • Active full membership in the Australian Institute of Credit Management (AICM), or willingness to join.

  • Up-to-date knowledge of Credit and Accounts Receivable practices through attendance at professional and technical update seminars.

  • Over five years of experience in providing financing products and practical applications, with proven supervisory success. Knowledge of Floor Plan, Rental, Chattel, and consumer financing products is advantageous.

  • Experience in conducting financing negotiations with a diverse customer base, aligned with business development goals.

  • Ability to understand and interpret financial statements.

  • Basic knowledge of the Franchise Code of Conduct is advantageous.

  • Proficient to advanced skills in Microsoft Office.

  • Knowledge in QlikView and Power BI (desirable)

  • Competence in working with complex network-based business software, preferably SAP.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, commercial acumen, and the ability to build effective business relationships with internal and external partners.

  • Ability to identify and implement system and process improvements within a complex business system.
