Inside Sales Representative - HammerHead

HammerHead delivers a unique combination of rehabilitation, replacement and installation equipment and consumables for the underground construction market. The role of Inside Sales Representative plays a fundamental role in achieving our ambitious customer acquisition and revenue growth objectives . This person will be comfortable calling existing and prospective customers, generating interest, and closing sales. The qualified candidate will be responsible for maximizing their individual potential and be able to collaborate with multiple internal and external stakeholders.

What Will You Do?

In order to grow and build a successful career with The Toro Company, you will be responsible for:

  • Assist internal customer service team with inbound calls related to product service and availability.

  • Research, develop and route leads from multiple online sources including public bid hosting sites, social media and inbound web leads.

  • Team with channel partners to build sales pipeline and close deals.

  • Manage daily quoting, sales and order entry functions.

  • Manage key sales metrics daily with sales team and work with inside sales lead to develop other key dashboards to better manage pipeline activity.

  • Assist with municipal bids and buy board process.

  • Occasionally attend tradeshows and relevant industry events to develop and/or maintain customer relationships.

  • Help assist with sales territories as needed.

  • Embody company culture and maintain high sales team enthusiasm and morale.

What Do You Need?

To be considered for this role, an individual should meet the following minimal requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree required; Associates Degree + 2 or more years of relevant experience.

  • Strong commitment to customer support services

  • Technology savvy and willingness to use future technologies

  • Strong communication and negotiating skills with the ability to build rapport

  • Ability to effectively communicate with manager, sales team and customer base

  • Ability to deliver goals and reports set by sales manager

  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications, CRM and ERP software

  • Strong commitment to personal development and sales development

  • Phone and in person communication skills

    Work Environment:

  • Regular extended use of telephone, computer and other communication devices.

  • Office, shop & occasional construction jobsite environment

  • The shop environment includes physical hazards such as powered vehicle and pedestrian traffic, sharp objects, and moving machinery.

  • Shops, Yards and Jobsites – Heavy equipment and jobsite hazards are present

  • Ability to lift and handle up to 50 lbs

  • Potential land & air travel (up to 20%)
